Several potentialy fatal attempt to remove self from gene pool. Perhaps childhood judo taught me how to take a fall
1972. Playing hide and seek; To escape IT jumped from one tree to another over a fence. Grabbed branch which snapped off. Broke left arm at the wrist and shoulder. Hospitalized 2 weeks for shoulder to reset itself. Began 6th grade late and in a body cast from the waist up.
1982. IU< Bloomington IN. 3 for 1 happy hour. Tequila! Came home and began climbing from balcony to balcony. Concerned friend talked me into climbing back onto porch from rail. Slipped as I tried. 3 floors. Fractured skull on second floors rail. Sprained both ankles and one wrist landing. Broke left wrist (again). Coulda/shoulda killed me but resulted in reuniting with estranged love who I would later marry. Frustrate Darwin by twice reproducing. Children ages 14 and 16. Now being dumped by said love.
1999 This time its a cliff Along a stretch of Sugar Creek betwen Shades and Turkey Run state parks. Under a bridge 6-8 feet away from the edge. Rock is wet and algea covered so I began this unstoppable slide into space. While falling Grab yet another tree branch. Still unsupportable. Fell about 30 feet. (went back and measured monthes later. Somehow landed in the mud missing all the rocks.
There may be some reason none of these falls have killed me. After 2 kids removed self from further contributions to gene pool (with a lttle help from a surgeon)(and encouragemnt form soon to be ex) Submitted on 02/25/2003
