Schoolbus driver in the Bretagne (France) strangled by his own vehicle's door
(AFP) A bus driver in the Bretagne was strangled by the hydraulic pressure door of his own vehicle. As the transport services CAT announced wednesday in Saint-Brieuc, after going off duty on tuesday the 55 year old started to close all bus doors from inside and tried to hurry outside in less than 2,5 seconds. One of his workmates saw the man's head sticking out of the bus, but he was too late. Obviously the driver lost consciousness immediately and couldn't be rescued, CAT company chief Michel Lerat said.

Schulbus-Fahrer in Bretagne durch eigene Fahrzeugtür erwürgt
(AFP) Ein Busfahrer in der Bretagne ist durch die Hydraulik-Drucktür seines eigenen Fahrzeuges erwürgt worden. Wie das Verkehrsunternehmen CAT am Mittwoch in Saint-Brieuc bekannt gab, hatte der 55-Jährige nach seinem Dienstschluss am Dienstag versucht, alle Türen von innen zu schließen und innerhalb von nur 2,5 Sekunden nach draußen zu eilen. Einer seiner Kollegen sah den Kopf des Mannes aus dem Bus ragen, kam aber zu spät. Der Fahrer habe offenbar unmittelbar das Bewusstsein verloren und konnte nicht mehr gerettet werden, sagte CAT-Chef Michel Lerat.
