Atmospheres are left

As the first story I sent you some time ago (How fresh the air!..), this one also comes from my neighbor Mrs. Larisa K., a nice elderly lady in her early sixties.
Larisa's father was a worker at some factory in Moscow. One evening, at supper, he told his family that on the following day he was to cut some old and empty gas cylinders into pieces with a autogenous welder. And then he asked his children, "D'you know what is left in a gas tank after it's been emptied?" "Some gas," Larisa supposed. "Ah you silly goose, learn from your father," he replied, proud of himself. "What's left there are the atmospheres, that's what it is!"
On the following day he returned from work much earlier than usual, pale in the face, literally crooked in two and with his legs wide open, muttering ugly words. As it turned out, he had been cutting a gas cylinder sitting right on it, like a horseman on his horse...
Comparing both stories, truely yours comes to the conclusion that, with all my respect, some male members of the mentioned family have got a rather twisted mind and take very little care of their respective treasures. Submitted on 11/20/2002
