Pensioner impales testicle while trying to steal fruit
A Thai pensioner has impaled one of his testicles on an iron railing after he lost his footing while trying to steal fruit.
His screams alerted neighbours who then called the police and emergency services.
A section of the fence was cut away so that Suntipap Pu-Udom could be taken to hospital to have it removed.
Suntipap from Ayuthaya near Bangkok told police he had called to see a friend for a business meeting at her house.
When he arrived there was nobody home and as he stood waiting he noticed a tree heavily laden with fruit in a neighbour's garden.
He climbed up an iron fence but slipped as he reached out for the fruit and was impaled on the spikes.
Police said the metal went through the 67-year-old's testicle.
