Tramtriping hands

This story is more or less an Cracovian Urban Legend. About 50 years ago there were Trams in Cracow, which resembled the ones in San Francisco
(their doors had to be opened manualy). This fact increased a number of "Stoaways", who avoided ticket controlers by jumping of the tram (it was possible, because of the moderate speed of the vehicles). But one of Stowaways, who evidently lacked skill and luck met his doom by trying to jump off the tram. The tram was passing close to the building wall. The unlucky Stowaway, who missed his last chance to get off, and was still holding onto the safety rails located on the outside of the vehicle, came in contact with the wall, and was killed. The hands which were still holding the rails
were ripped of the body and continued the tram trip on their own. Submitted on 07/11/2002
