A Judge was injured when a grenade produced as evidence in a trial exploded in his hand when he pulled the pin after the accused claimed it was not real. The News reported on Thuesday.
The accused Khalil ur Rehman, first challenged the police to produce the hand grenade allegedly found in his possesion and when it was produced claimed it was not genuine , it said.
"The learned judge took the grenade in his hand and removed the pin during the course of arguments and the device instantly exploded with a bang in his hand," the newspaper said. (AFP) Submitted on 06/26/2002
