Filing cabnet Vs Man

We had a male aged 23 come into emergency with severe crush injuries to chest and legs while this is not unusual the circumstances are a little strange.
1. the victim was crushed by a filing cabnet. this was a four drawer large filing cabnet approx 5ft high and chockers full it was this mans job to remove iles and redistribute them as the cabnet had almost fallen over earlier in the day.
2. now working on height to weight you should remove the files from top to bottom however as he was reverse filing eg bottom records went into top of new cabinet he started at the bottom.
3.He said he should have known when he finished the bottom drawer when he pulled the next drawer out he said it wobbled but not to be detered he emptied this drawer as well,
now we have the situation that 90% weight is on upper levels of cabinet so when he pulled out the 3 drawer it fell causing severe crush injuries to his chest and legs - the gentleman died from injuries recieved.
4. a worthy recipient of a darwin. he ignored a warning and still bravely went on and removed himself from the gene pool. Submitted on 06/02/2002
