Bryan woman hurt in target practice
Eagle Staff Report
A Bryan woman was injured Tuesday when a bullet she fired at a frying pan ricocheted and struck her in the head.
The bullet lodged above Kimberly Fennessey’s right eye, police said. She was taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center, where she was treated and released.
Police said the incident occurred just before 6 p.m. at a home in the 1000 block of E. 25th St. Anthony Milazzo, an acquaintance of Fennessey’s, had been cleaning his pistol.
Fennessey told police that she had wanted to see if the .22 caliber pistol worked and was prompted by Milazzo to test it by shooting at a Teflon-coated sauce pan. The bullet rebounded from the pan and lodged just under Fennessey’s skin but did not penetrate her skull, police reported.
