My dad is a local firefighter and one night after he came home from a call, he had a very amusing story to tell. A man had just purchased a new set of garage doors and had had them installed. Tryin to save a few bucks, he decided to get rid of his old garage doors himslef instead of paying the $25 to have them hauled away by the installers. So he chopped them up and burned them in his back yard. Once the fire was out, he threw the hot ashes into the large dumpster that was on his driveway. After a few hours, the garbage lit on fire and started the house on fire. The man and his neighbor tried to put the fire out with a garden hose, to no avail. By the time they called 911, the entire house was ablaze. In the end, the entire house was burnt down, including the new garage doors. To make matters worse, the man was a person who did other people's taxes, and all of his records were in his house.Submitted on 05/10/2002
