Deputies identify house fire victim
STILLWATER -- Payne County deputies have identified the victim of a rural house fire that started around a motorcycle parked in the kitchen.
Deputies say Neil Davis, 29, died of smoke inhalation. Sheriff's investigator Noel Bagwell said Davis, a construction worker, had bought the motorcycle two days before the fire last month. Davis lived alone in the rental house three miles southeast of Stillwater.
Bagwell said investigators think the motorcycle possibly had a fuel leak and that something in the kitchen ignited the spilled fuel. The motorcycle was parked near a gas stove.Bagwell said the blaze appears accidental. Submitted on 05/04/2002
