Airgun Power

2003 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

An extremly accident prone pal of mine, John Marshal decided to work out how powerful his air gun was. After making sure that the gun was not loaded, by priming the weapon and firing it with no pellet, he primed it, put the but on the ground, placed his forhead on the upteurned barrel and pulled the trigger.

It wasn't the air that got him, it was the recoil that knocked him out, leaving him prostate on the bedroom floor with a rapidly expanding red dot on his forehead.

It was in this state that his mother found him. It was her screaming that brought him to.

John has risked life and limb on countless occasions in his teens, but the acquisition of a girlfriend put a halt to our weekly fix of disaster.

A DA waiting to happen. There are MUCH better ways to test a gun's power.

No real risks to his life here. it's funny, but misses the levels of astounding stupidity.

Pointing even an unloaded weapon at yourself and pulling the trigger has to be pretty stupid.
