The canadate list for the awards goes on and on just like the energizer bunny. For anyone that has been to Africa there is a standing rule that you do not get out of the car and photograph animal young up close. Well here is a native of SA that knows that hippo's on average kill 8 to 10 people a year. Well luck was not on her side and hopefully her young will remember not to play with the hippo's.

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - An adult female hippopotamus attacked and fatally wounded a woman who was photographing her calf in South Africa's famed Kruger National Park, police said Sunday.
Annetjie Mienie, of Johannesburg, was bitten in the stomach and died while being rushed to hospital, police spokeswoman Mary Gama told the domestic news agency SAPA.
Hippos are territorial and aggressive, particularly when protecting their young, and kill more people in Africa than any other wild mammal.
