Cant seem to find the date of the story, but it was in the Sydney Telegraph (www.news.com.au) last year - I still have a a copy of the article but no date is attached.
Driver in plaster killed in car crash
A 29-year old man with both his legs in plaster and his arm in a sling died when he lost control of a car at high speed on the F3 freeway near Newcastle early yesterday.
Jason Geary, from Sutherland, suffered two fractured legs and a broken collarbone in a car crash in Sydney six days ago.
Yesterday he have been travelling south on the freeway when he lost control of his late model rented Ford Falcon.
Mr Geary, who could not where a seat belt because of his injuries, was thrown from the car and landed some 16 metres away.
He was dead when rescue services arrived at the scene shortly after 2:30 am.
Ambulance officers found Mr Geary's body with both legs in plaster and his left arm in a sling. His crutches were found in the rear seat of the hire car he had been driving. A wheelchair was in the boot. Submitted on 01/23/02
