Grizzly ....

2013 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

This will probably be a repeat, but I couldn’t find this story in your archives (yes, I did look), so if you haven’t received numerous nominations already, may take this opportunity to nominate the late Timothy Treadwell (April 29th, 1957 – October 5th, 2003)? Mr. Treadwell used to like to spend part of his summers living with wild grizzly bears in Katmai National Park in Alaska- He had zero formal training as a wildlife biologist, he’d claimed that he’d understood the risks, but in October of 2003, he was in fact eaten by a bear. The National Park rangers found part of his body the day after he disappeared, and then when they killed a grizzly bear who was near the remains of pieces of the late Timothy Treadwell’s body, they found more of Timothy Treadwell’s body partially digested inside the stomach of a grizzly bear. Timothy Treadwell was the subject of the 2005 movie “Grizzly Man.”

Sorry, Scott, but this is back in our archives. The search doesn't always pick up on items more then five years ago. Thanks anyway, thanks for searching, and submit again!

As Candi said. Here's one duplicate submission from a while back: http://darwinawards.com/reject/200911/pending20091109-132231.html Thanks just the same.
