This place is great! I am pleased as a pickle to have found all of you. I am a new kid, not nearly as intelligent and adept at this, but I love the dialogue. Don't ever go away! You make me think.
Innuendo
Jinx72 starting a flame thread about himself. Dev started a thread for ClarkK about shaving genitalia.
Miles
I seem to be under-educated for many of the debates. Social and cultural differences. I do have a college education but seem to have missed a few days in the process.
Please don't hesitate to enlighten me.
Dr. Twilight
Miles, I don't believe in gratuitous compliments, so when I say this, I say it honestly.
I am surprised that you feel that you are undereducated here. I recall having read posts from you that made points, raised issues, and asked intelligent questions.
Education allows for initial insight. After that the opinions of all are vital. And so, while you humbly ask us to enlighten you, I humbly ask you to do the same.
Hazzy
I found this website this week. Wow! I'm really hooked. I check on and off throughout the day.
Just when you think you know something, you realize you don't know squat.

I floated around looking for entertainment and found the Philosophy Forum. It's organic. Changes in the writers lead to gradual changes in the whole. For a time, Philosophy almost died and Flames and Anti-Flames came roaring along. There are cycles of serious topics and fluffy ones. Fascinating.
Solipsist
I found this place when the Aggie Invasion was picking up steam. I lurked then left 'cos it wasn't a fun place back then. I took the plunge in January because I couldn't stay out of the story threads.
Dev
I lurked for a month before The Texas Bonfire Affair, and IMHO the forum has improved in quality because of that controversy. The occasional bursts of new people seem to correspond to promotional gigs undertaken by The Great One.
Rangermom
Ah yes, the Bonfire thread. Being an Aggie mom brought me here. Thankfully that is behind us now. You are all quite interesting, so I stayed. It's pretty civil now, not like was back in November, but we don't all agree and that's what I like.

IVDRIP
mrpeabody attacked my first post and what an attack that was! All that gibbering about eyebrow mites. I nominate him for official newbie greeter.
Dr. Twilight
I find myself quite happy with the quality of debate, the marked level of intelligence, and for the most part a willingness to engage in open debate. I do apologize for my excessively long posts. I'm still not entirely sure what the term "flamed" means, but I assume I have never been flamed, nnot that that is an invitation. These Forums are most hospitable. My thanks to she who makes it possible.
ClarkK
A history of the DAF's and no one has mentioned sheep?
I remember my first flaming fishwhack from AngelaHarrison in a prostitution legalization thread. It
wasn't a full fledged GandalFlameTM, but you always
remember your first.
Dex
This is the closest thing to a BBS since they went out of style with the public opening of the Internet. I dunno, I just found it and joined.
manniac
Remember that saloon story with the swinging doors? It started spontaneously in the middle of an unrelated discussion, and sparked off two months of frenetic story-telling that ended as abruptly as it began. The only person I ever flamed is Steph.
I still don't like tin cans and fuzzy toilet seat covers.
Red
Blame manniac for my existence here. I vascillate between posting and lurking.
After my first post I was shot down by innuendo who wrongly barked about pulling up a 'dead' thread.
Innuendo
I think I apologized, Red, and if I didn't I am sorry. My first flame was Steph who said I was to young to know anything. I flamed her back and she managed to sound contrite. I was chuffed.
plaztekk
i started posting around feb last year. that was vague and fuzzy. psykotik first came around march or may. i liked his name. other than that i don't remember crap. i came back and have my new identity, rah!
i remember how there used to be more rank names.
Stagger Lee
I really apreciate the level of tolerance here
